Cuba now finds itself standing at a crossroad leading them towards making choices as Fidel Castro prepares to leave his office position. Although the problem may seem to be affecting Cuba, the US begins to focus on the threat that Cuban government may pose towards the US national security. The relationship that Cuba holds with US enemies has introduced the question on whether Cuban government may become a threat to the US.
Many people within the nation and in politics strongly believe that the Cuban government has never been and continues not to be a threat to the US national government. Since Cuba no longer holds Soviet troops or any type of massive destruction people believe that the can not over power the strength of all governmental armed troop the US holds. Besides the lack in armed forces and any form of massive destruction, Cuba hold laws that act against any form or type of terrorism. Therefore they can not harm the US national security nor the US government. The US nor other countries hold any type of evidence that may prove that Cuba is a terrorist state.
Cuba has been a county with many great events. Many of which have made people believe that their government may become a threat to the US at any moment. They have become a threat by simply being at such a close distance. With only a few miles in distance they are able to attack America in many different forms. For example, Cuba attack the US by producing a large spread of diseases such as HIV and AIDS. As well as any other sickness that may be contagious. Cuba's close relationships with American enemies also worries America. Although it is written in the Cuban law book that they make not create or produce an act of terrorism they are can very well open up their country and host another country as it plans on attacking the US. Cuba stands as both at a position where it is a threat and a non threat to the US. Although no one is sure of where Cuba will find its self standing once Castro is out of office everyone is greatly interested in knowing. Many are worried about the effects it will create.
